Kalaari Capital has announced its investment in NudgeBee, a startup building an AI-powered platform designed to handle cloud operations more intelligently. The firm led NudgeBee’s $3 million seed round, backing founders Rakesh Rajendran and Shiv Pratap Singh.
NudgeBee targets a problem that many engineering teams quietly struggle with. Most enterprises today manage their cloud infrastructure across multiple disconnected tools, with observability, ticketing, and cost tracking all sitting in separate systems. This fragmentation puts enormous pressure on small teams that are expected to handle everything at once.
The platform brings SRE, FinOps, and Cloud Operations together into one unified system. Rather than asking companies to replace their existing tools, NudgeBee connects directly with the pipelines and infrastructure they already use, making adoption significantly easier.
Early results from its deployment at Rackspace show cloud costs dropping by 40 to 60 percent, with incident resolution time falling from hours to just minutes.
Kalaari noted that the broader industry numbers paint a serious picture, with most enterprises facing downtime costs exceeding $300,000 per hour, nearly 30 percent of cloud spending going to waste, and over 80 percent struggling to find qualified operations talent. NudgeBee’s approach is positioned as a structural fix rather than just another monitoring tool.
