Hakimo, a company building AI powered security monitoring technology, has raised $12 million in a new growth funding round. The round was led by Zigg Capital, with continued participation from existing investors Neotribe Ventures, Vertex Ventures SE Asia and India, Rocketship.vc, and defy.vc. This latest investment takes Hakimo’s total funding raised to date to $32 million.

The announcement comes at a time when the company says it has seen strong growth over the past twelve months, marking its second consecutive year of tripling revenue.

Strong Growth Across Customers and Team

According to the company, Hakimo now serves more than 300 customers, a significant increase from the previous year. Alongside this customer growth, the company has also doubled the size of its internal team. As part of this expansion, Bret Knobelauch has joined Hakimo as its new Chief Revenue Officer, a move expected to support the company’s continued sales and business growth.

Hakimo also highlighted the impact of its technology on customer operations, stating that it has helped clients cut down security incidents by as much as 60 percent. In addition, the company introduced new product features during the year, including an AI Powered Forensic Search tool designed to make reviewing and investigating security footage faster and more efficient.

Addressing Challenges in Physical Security

In its announcement, Hakimo pointed to several ongoing challenges within the physical security industry that are pushing companies to look for smarter solutions. Rising costs of hiring security guards, a persistent shortage of trained labor, and camera systems that generate far more alerts than human teams can realistically monitor are among the key issues affecting the sector today.

The company positions its platform as a solution to these problems. Rather than requiring businesses to install new hardware, Hakimo works by converting existing security camera systems into AI powered monitoring tools. This approach allows a single security operator to effectively manage the workload that would traditionally require a team of ten people.

By using artificial intelligence to process camera feeds in real time, Hakimo says its system enables faster detection of potential threats and quicker responses when incidents occur. The company added that this is achieved while also lowering overall security costs and without the need to replace a property’s current camera infrastructure.

Plans for the Future

Hakimo said the newly raised funds will be used to accelerate its mission of modernizing physical security through what it describes as agentic AI technology. The company aims to continue building tools that shape the future of security for buildings and properties, ranging from residential homes to large, well known commercial structures.

In its statement, Hakimo expressed appreciation to its customers, partners, investors, and team members for contributing to this milestone. The company noted that a wide range of property operators, from small residential setups to major landmark buildings, currently rely on its AI driven monitoring system to help protect their premises.

With this new round of funding, Hakimo appears set to continue expanding its footprint in the physical security space, betting on artificial intelligence as the next major shift in how properties are monitored and protected.
