TrueFan AI, a startup building AI-powered video generation technology for enterprises, has closed a $10 million Series A funding round. The round was led by Baring Private Equity Partners India and Z3Partners, with IAN Group and 3Lines Venture Capital also participating. The company plans to use the capital to expand internationally and build out its team across technology, product, and sales.
TrueFan AI’s core pitch is straightforward: enterprises have always wanted to communicate the way humans naturally do, through a real face, a voice, and emotion. But traditional video production has historically been too slow, expensive, and manual to make that practical at scale. The company believes AI has now changed that equation entirely, and it is positioning itself at the centre of this shift.
The growth numbers back that narrative. TrueFan AI went from generating 5 million videos to 20 million videos over the past year and is on track to cross 50 million this year. Revenue has grown 11 times over the last 20 months, and the company’s net revenue retention stands at 117 percent, indicating that existing customers are not just staying but spending more over time. All of this has been achieved with a burn to revenue ratio of under 10 percent, which is a notable capital efficiency marker for a growth stage startup.
What the Platform Does
At the heart of TrueFan AI’s product is a proprietary foundational video model built over five years and trained on over 1,000 hours of proprietary data. The platform can generate up to 5 lakh videos per minute with real time delivery, supports more than 175 languages, and integrates with business service providers, CRMs, and native applications. The company also claims its output costs 20 times less than comparable global solutions while maintaining quality that is difficult to distinguish from real footage.
The platform has already been adopted by over 100 large enterprises across sectors including banking, pharma, consumer goods, and e-commerce. Clients include Bajaj Finance, HDFC Bank, Sun Pharma, Cipla, Hero, SBI Life, PhonePe, Amazon, Zomato, and MakeMyTrip. The startup has also created AI avatars for more than 140 celebrities, including Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Ranveer Singh, Ranbir Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Rohit Sharma, and Rishabh Pant.
With the fresh funding in place, TrueFan AI has outlined three clear priorities. First, international expansion into Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and the United States. Second, the development of real time AI video agents that can move enterprise video communication from one-way broadcasting to two-way conversation. Third, building the team needed to support this next phase of growth.
Co-founder and CEO Nimish Goel framed the broader vision simply: video generation should eventually be as easy as typing an email, and video, not text or voice, will become the default mode of enterprise communication going forward. With a strong retention rate, a capital-efficient business model, and a platform already embedded in some of India’s largest companies, TrueFan AI is making a credible case for that future.
