STCH Secures $5.5 Million in Pre-Series A Funding to Reshape the Future of Sustainable Textiles

Indian textile startup STCH has raised $5.5 million in a Pre-Series A funding round led by Omnivore and Kae Capital, with White Venture Capital also joining the round. The capital will support STCH’s mission to rebuild how fabrics are developed and delivered at scale using an AI-first approach.

The startup is working at the fabric layer of the fashion industry, an area where sustainability has long been held back by high costs, inconsistent performance, and broken supply chains. STCH addresses all three challenges simultaneously by combining continuous fabric research and development with intelligent tools that match demand with available manufacturing capacity.

The company is co-founded by Narahari Payala and Aseem Chitkara, who bring a strong background in materials science and supply chain operations. STCH has already built an order book exceeding $15 million with global customers, reflecting real market traction rather than early-stage experimentation.

Investors see STCH as a platform that could define the next wave of innovation in fashion by fixing the industry from the backend. The company is being positioned as a global, AI-native textile innovation platform built out of India.
