Indian real estate technology platform Square Yards has officially achieved unicorn status after closing a ₹900 crore funding round, pushing its valuation past the $1 billion mark. The round was backed by EAAA Alternatives and Muzinich & Co. This milestone places Square Yards among the select group of Indian startups to cross the billion dollar valuation threshold.
Square Yards set out with an ambition larger than just listing properties online. The company built its platform to cover every part of the home buying experience from property transactions and home loans to rentals, interior design, and property management. The idea was to reimagine how people in India find, finance, and settle into their homes, all under one roof.
Strong Revenue Growth Backs the Valuation
The unicorn milestone comes alongside a strong financial performance. Square Yards reported revenue of ₹2,086 crore in FY26, reflecting a 48 percent year on year growth. The company described this growth not just in financial terms but as a reflection of the number of families who found their homes through the platform during the year.
Square Yards has made clear that this funding round and unicorn tag are not the end goal but a stepping stone. The company acknowledged the belief of its team, investors, and customers in building what has now become a significant player in India’s real estate tech space. With revenue scaling rapidly and a full stack real estate model in place, the company signalled that its biggest chapter is still ahead.
This latest raise marks a defining moment for Square Yards as it looks to deepen its presence across property transactions and adjacent services in the Indian market.
