Ather Energy Q3 FY26 Performance Overview
Profitability indicators showed consistent improvement during the quarter. Adjusted gross margin rose to ₹2,513 million, with margins improving significantly compared to last year due to lower costs per unit and operational efficiencies. The company also narrowed its EBITDA loss, with EBITDA margin improving by approximately 1,600 basis points year-on-year, highlighting progress toward sustainable profitability. Ather continued to strengthen its market position, achieving an overall market share of 18.8% in Q3 FY26. Growth was driven by rapid expansion beyond South India, while the company maintained leadership in its core southern markets. States across Middle India and other regions recorded steady gains, demonstrating successful penetration into newer geographies supported by dealership and experience center expansion.
The company’s distribution network scaled rapidly, with experience centers increasing significantly within a year. By the end of Q3 FY26, Ather had established a strong pan-India footprint, enabling better accessibility, faster deliveries, and stronger brand presence across urban and emerging EV markets. Technology and product innovation remained central to Ather’s strategy. The AtherStack 7 platform saw high adoption, with over 90% attach rates, indicating strong customer engagement with connected features such as navigation, ride assist, safety tools, and remote controls. Newly introduced features, including Infinite Cruise, showed early traction among active users, reinforcing Ather’s focus on software-led differentiation.
Charging infrastructure also expanded rapidly, with more than 5,000 fast-charging points operational across India. Ather introduced next-generation fast chargers capable of delivering a day’s charge in minutes, strengthening the overall ownership experience and addressing range and charging concerns for EV users. During the quarter, Ather announced multiple launches and expansions, including the Rizta scooter in Sri Lanka, vernacular dashboard support in regional languages, kids’ helmets, and entry into auto insurance distribution. These initiatives reflect the company’s broader vision to build a comprehensive electric mobility ecosystem beyond vehicle sales alone.
