OFF/BEAT, the new venture by boAt co-founder Aman Gupta, has secured ₹100 crore in seed funding. The round was led by Bessemer Venture Partners, a global firm known for backing companies like Anthropic, Shopify, Canva, and LinkedIn.
Gupta said he was specifically looking for investors who could bring global expertise in technology and AI, not just capital. According to him, Bessemer’s partners Anant and Vishal, along with their global network, offer speed, credibility, and strategic value that money alone cannot provide.
The announcement was made on Gupta’s wedding anniversary. He compared taking on an investor to choosing a life partner, saying both decisions require someone who can stand by you through good times and bad.
This marks Aman Gupta’s return to building from scratch after co-founding boAt, one of India’s most recognizable consumer electronics brands.
