Rovia Raises $1 Million in Pre-Seed Funding to Build Wealth Infrastructure for Global Indian Professionals

Rovia, a fintech startup focused on cross-border wealth management, has closed a $1 million pre-seed funding round. The round was led by Antler India, with participation from CDM Capital, Operators Studio, and a group of angel investors from India and the United States.

The Problem Rovia Is Solving

A growing segment of Indian professionals today earns in foreign currencies, holds equity compensation from global companies, and manages assets spread across multiple countries. For this group, traditional Indian financial tools like mutual funds, bank accounts, or real estate no longer cover the full picture. A significant portion of their wealth now sits in global equity, which is often concentrated in a single company, difficult to liquidate, and even harder to reinvest efficiently across markets.

Rovia is building the infrastructure layer that this category of professionals has been missing. The startup’s goal is to help users manage liquidity, spread risk across geographies, and move money in smarter ways without the friction that currently comes with cross-border financial decision.

What makes Rovia’s pitch interesting is how it frames the opportunity. This is not just another wealth management app. The startup is positioning itself as infrastructure for a new class of globally mobile, equity-rich Indians who need purpose-built tools rather than retrofitted versions of older financial products. The founders believe the existing market has not caught up with how this segment of professionals actually holds and thinks about wealth today.

The startup is co-founded by Shivang Badaya and Arnav Grover, both of whom bring hands-on experience in cross-border fintech. Their combined background spans remittance services, global financial product development, and regulated money movement, which gives the team a strong foundation to tackle the complex compliance and infrastructure challenges that come with cross-border wealth management.

With the pre-seed capital now secured, Rovia is expected to accelerate the development of its core platform as it works toward becoming a defining financial tool for India’s next generation of global wealth holders.
