BECon 2026 (Business & Entrepreneurship Conclave) is IIT Delhi’s flagship entrepreneurship summit, organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell (eDC) and built on IIT Delhi’s long-standing legacy of innovation, research, and venture creation. Over the years, BECon has evolved into a nationally recognized platform that brings together founders, investors, policymakers, operators, and young innovators who are actively building or aspire to build – the next generation of Indian startups. BECon’26 will be held from 30th Jan to 1st Feb 2026 and is themed “Engineering the Mind of Machines: Crafted in India for the World,” with a strong focus on AI, deep-tech, hardware, and indigenous innovation.
BECon is designed to move beyond motivation and deliver real outcomes. It functions as a launchpad where ideas turn into companies, entrepreneurs meet co-founders, startups raise capital, and student builders gain first-hand exposure to how businesses are actually built and scaled. Through flagship initiatives such as Moonshot (live funding showcase), Blueprint (India’s largest student B-Plan competition), deep-tech hackathons, startup expos, fireside chats, and policy dialogues, BECon creates tangible impact for every participant.
A defining pillar of BECon is its consciously designed regional structure that decentralizes entrepreneurship support across India. With chapters in Guwahati, Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai, Jaipur, and Delhi, BECon ensures that promising startups from every region are identified, mentored, and connected to a unified national platform anchored at IIT Delhi. In parallel, BECon runs high-impact visibility campaigns across premium national and global locations, including Times Square, to strengthen global credibility and position India as a hub of frontier innovation.
BECon attracts a diverse and high-quality audience including early-stage founders, students, investors, ecosystem leaders, and policymakers. Past editions have featured influential speakers such as Kunal Bahl (Co-founder, Snapdeal & Titan Capital), Shradha Sharma (Founder, YourStory), Pranav Pai (Founding Partner, 3one4 Capital), and Anil Swarup (Former Secretary, Government of India), reflecting the depth of leadership and insight that participants are exposed to.
